Speaker

Jayson Young

Jayson started his career in Japan in the JET program. In this role, he worked as a teacher, advisor and translator in Kochi Prefecture and then moved back to Canada as a Coordinator for JET applicants. He came back to Japan and worked in localization and corporate intercultural communication training for six years before taking a role at Rakuten in corporate communications and employee engagement. He then moved back into localization full-time working on translating interactive fiction apps for the global English-speaking market. Over time he has built a personal network of clients in the video game and corporate communications industry. Jayson also enjoys discussing manga with friends on his podcast Mangaroos.
